Join the fun this August 7th and see if Tommy Tropic can break the Guinness World Record for the "farthest distance traveled on inline skates whilst juggling 3 objects". All while
helping to make a big difference in the lives of some kids who don't get too many breaks.
At 5 pm we'll kick off the event with cocktail hour on the lawn behing the Mountain Grand at Boyne Mountain with Master of Ceremonies Scott MacKenzie. There'll be a silent auction and entertainment by Clark Lewis, Tommy, and Twisted Style Free Runners
Then, at 6:30 pm witness Tommy Tropic's first attempt at a Guinness World Record! He's going for a mile or more on the new Boyne Valley BikeTrail. He'll start near Dam Road going East toward and past the Boyne Falls School passing in front of the Mountain Grand on the way!
ACT, or Acrobatic Circus Troupe, is a non-profit organization based in Katwe, Kampala, Uganda. ACT feeds, mentors, and helps keep kids in school and out of trouble. And, of course, they teach acrobatics and juggling as a central part of their program. They instill hope in children who have little else that does. ACT currently operates on a small piece of property owned by an elderly lady who believes in their cause. If the property were to ever change hands, they may no longer have a place to do their work. This is the first in a series of fundraisers with an ultimate goal of $15,000 needed for new property and facilities. Take a close look at who these people are, and you'll see why we want to help them to help others.
